Update

Eli is doing better and better each day. He is still hoarse and sound like a squeaky mouse when he cries, but his cough is much better. His eating is still not where it was before he got sick, but it is definitely improving. I really appreciate all of your prayers.

Please pray for Wes. He started getting sick yesterday. It's that nasty head cold thing but he also started running a temp in the middle of the night. It was 101 this morning. Please pray that he will get better quickly (especially by Wed because that's when classes start back and he is teaching 2 classes this semester) and please pray that the rest of us won't catch it.

New Year's Celebration

Our New Year's celebration this year took two days. It's not that we had a lot to do, but things just seem to take longer to accomplish these days. :-) We actually had several more activities planned but I guess we will have to save them for next year. We all had a lot of fun. It was really nice to do some fun things with the kiddos. Life has been a bit serious lately and there hasn't been much time for “playing”.

We kicked the evening off by enjoying some yummy snacks.

Wes made some delicious turnip greens (the black eye peas are in the crockpot).

Christmas Pictures

I took way too many pictures at Christmas, as I always do. I have tried to limit my posting to my absolute favorites.

Christmas Activities - part 3

With everything that has been going on I never did finish blogging about our Christmas activities. We did Advent this year, as we always do. We really look forward to lighting the candles every night, singing songs, having a Bible lesson and saying part of the Nicene Creed.

Alina's Birthday

The morning of Alina's birthday I was at the hospital with Eli. Wes took it upon himself to carry on the family tradition of a special breakfast off of the red plate. What a GREAT daddy and what a GREAT job he did!!!

He even thought to have me on the speaker phone so that I could join in the singing.
